Dukakis Endorsed by St. Paul Mayor

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Mayor George Latimer on Tuesday endorsed the presidential campaign of Massachusetts Gov. Michael S. Dukakis, saying his work as governor “has been a model for the rest of the country.”
Dukakis has made two trips to Minnesota this spring and is due later this week for another swing through the Twin Cities and northern Minnesota.
Another Democratic presidential contender, Sen. Paul Simon of Illinois, has attracted considerable support in Minnesota, including an endorsement from Minneapolis Mayor Don Fraser.
