La Habra : Children’s Museum Wins $41,150 Grant

The Children’s Museum, a city-operated learning center, has been awarded a $41,150 federal grant to help continue its operations during next fiscal year, the La Habra Community Services Department announced.

The grant, the sixth the museum has received over the last seven years, was given by the federal Institute of Museum Services, which assists museums, zoos, aquariums, planetariums and historic sites nationwide. A city spokesman said the grant, as before, will be used to help pay operating costs, such as salaries.

The Children’s Museum is located in the restored Union Pacific Railroad depot at 301 S. Euclid St.
