At the York Mercantile Exchange, contracts for July delivery of West Texas Intermediate, the benchmark U.S. crude, closed at $20.06 per 42-gallon barrel, up 15 cents from Friday’s close. The contract had touched prices of $20 or higher during two sessions since May 19. But this was the first time it stayed above that level since Jan. 28, 1986, when it closed at $20.17.
