Wavetek May Acquire Stake in British Firm

San Diego-based Wavetek Corp. may acquire an interest in Datron International PLC, a British firm, the companies said Tuesday.

Wavetek and Datron also are discussing the possibility of expanding their joint marketing and research and development relationships.

Datron’s shares are traded on the unlisted securities market of the London Stock Exchange. The company, which has facilities in Norwich in England, Florida and California, produces electronic test and measurement equipment.

San Diego-based Wavetek manufactures electronic test and measurement equipment.
