J. Hart Lyon, 74, retired May 29 as executive vice president of Carter Hawley Hale Stores. In that position, which Lyon had held since 1979, he oversaw development of the market services division. He joined the company in 1958 and served in various posts, including president of Weinstock’s, chairman and chief executive of the Broadway and as a director from 1972 to 1984.
Also, Carter Hawley Hale has appointed George L. Daugherty vice president-production management and quality assurance. Daugherty, 52, previously was divisional merchandise manager with Federated Merchandising Services, a division of Federated Department Stores.
