Firms in Vietnam will produce Honda motorcycles.

Honda Motor Co. has signed a contract allowing a group of companies to manufacture its motorcycles in Vietnam starting around September, according to Japan’s Kyodo news service. Motorcycle firms in Ho Chi Minh City plan to assemble 2,000 Honda motorcycles for business use with kits provided by the Japanese company. Sources in Hanoi said production will include Super-Cub models and that some of the products will be exported to Laos and Cambodia. This will be the first assembly production of motorcycles in Vietnam.
