Ethics Committee to Probe Rep. Rose’s Use of Funds

WASHINGTON — The House Ethics Committee voted Wednesday to investigate allegations that Rep. Charlie Rose (D-N.C.) violated House rules by using campaign funds to pay for personal expenses. The complaint, lodged by the North Carolina Republican Party, charges that Rose borrowed $63,000 from his campaign account to buy property and a car.
