Livaditis Death Recommended
Jurors today recommended the death penalty for a man who pleaded guilty to three counts of murder after a botched jewelry heist turned to a daylong siege on Beverly Hills’ posh Rodeo Drive.
The decision is a recommendation to Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Laurence J. Rittenband, who will pronounce formal sentence on Steven Livaditis, 23. There were only two alternatives: death in the gas chamber or life in prison without possibility of parole.
