San Diego Roundup : La Jolla to Swing Into Centennial

A golf tournament to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Carmel Mountain Ranch Golf Course in Rancho Penasquitos.

Entry fee is $150 and includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, souvenir sweater, shirt and dinner.

Entry forms are available from Dodge dealers in San Diego County or by calling the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at 298-0777.

Carmel Mountain Ranch Golf Course is located one mile east of Interstate 15 on Carmel Mountain Road.

Instructional golf clinics for children 13 and under will be offered at nine San Diego County golf courses beginning Tuesday.

Clinics are free, and no advance registration is required.

The clinics will be offered next Tuesday and Wednesday as well as June 30 and July 1 at the following times and locations:

At 2 p.m. each day: Rancho Bernardo Oaks North Golf Course, 12602 Oaks North Drive, Rancho Bernardo, and Tecolote Canyon Golf Course, 2755 Snead Ave., San Diego.

At 3 p.m. each day: Balboa Park Golf Course, Balboa Park; Carlton Oaks Country Club, 9200 Inwood Drive, Santee; Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club, 14151 Carmel Ridge Road, Rancho Penasquitos; Chula Vista Golf Course, 4475 Bonita Road, Bonita; Mission Bay Golf Course, 2702, N. Mission Bay Drive, San Diego, and Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course, 5200 El Camino Real, Carlsbad.

A clinic for military personnel will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Naval Station Golf Course, 32nd Street, San Diego.
