“Flicks.” Media. $79.95. “Flicks” is a comedic hodgepodge along the lines of “Kentucky Fried Chicken,” though not in its class. It mostly consists of two “feature presentations” of about a half-hour each--one, “The House of the Living Corpse,” is a mildly and consistently amusing spoof of “Rosemary’s Baby” and such, but the other, “Philip Alien,” about an intergalactic insect-detective (yep), merely deserves squashing. The best parts of “Flicks” are the short ones, topped by “Cat and Mouse,” a nicely animated takeoff on “Tom and Jerry” and similar cartoon characters, which finds the archetypal opponents in an old animals’ home, but still up to their old tricks. “Flicks” features Martin Mull and a few other familiar faces (and the voice of the great Harry Shearer), but the capable cast is mostly unknown.
