Camarilla Corp., parent company of Voice Prints Inc. of Costa Mesa, said it has acquired Voxtron Systems, a Texas-based manufacturer of voice-verification systems, for an undisclosed sum.

Voxtron, a subsidiary of privately held Detex Corp. of New Braunfels, Tex., develops and markets voice-verification and access-control systems used for building security systems.

Camarilla said it intends to combine the technologies of Voxtron and Voice Prints to provide a wider and more sophisticated range of voice-activated and voice recognition products.
