GIVE YOKO A BREAK

Regarding Kristine McKenna’s commentary on the opening of the exhibit of John Lennon’s art in Beverly Hills (“An Artless Exhibit of Lennon,” June 22), I really respect Mrs. Yoko Ono Lennon.
She’s endured a lot of suffering over the decades. She has donated much money to charities and tries to live a quiet life, and once in a while she’ll emerge for a charity or Lennon promotion. This was one of those times.
McKenna’s article did Ono no justice or honor with phrases such as “Pope Yoko.”
Please give the lady a break, write something nice about her for a change. How would you feel if you were in her situation? Whenever you try to do something positive, the press puts you down. She’s doing the best she can. Maybe it’s not up to your standards, but give her credit for trying.
