Laguna Beach : Transportation, Parking Arranged for Festival

Transportation and parking throughout the city will be available for visitors to the Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival, July 5 to Aug. 30 at the festival grounds, 935 Laguna Canyon Road.

City officials will offer Festival Trans Service from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. along three routes from the north of the city to the south and also from Laguna Canyon. Tickets are 50 cents one way; unlimited day passes are $1.50. They can be purchased at a booth on the Act 5 parking lot on Laguna Canyon Road or by calling 497-3111, Ext. 246.

The parking lot at Laguna Beach High School, 625 Park Ave., will be open. Bus service will be available from that lot to the festival every 30 minutes.

In addition, the OCTD Park & Ride lot at the Laguna Hills Mall, El Toro Road at the San Diego Freeway, will be available. Bus route 57 will take riders to the festival from the lot.

Others who wish to attend the festival by bus may use bus route 57 or bus route 1. Route 57 runs from downtown Santa Ana through Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills, Laguna Beach and Newport Beach. Route 1 runs along Pacific Coast Highway and Coast Highway from Long Beach to San Clemente.

The Sawdust Festival is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for senior citizens, free for children 14 and younger.
