POPMETER MONITORS

Share

Do you really expect us to believe that in the June 28 PopMeter Robert Hilburn or Chris Willman sat down to listen to the Motley Crue record “Girls, Girls, Girls” (which is, on my PopMeter, a 95)?

This borders on fraudulent journalism. It’s pretty easy to see that the reviewers from The Times don’t listen to the records they don’t understand. Might as well give it to my grandfather; he probably wouldn’t understand or enjoy Motley Crue either.

Why do you think they’re so popular? I guess there are 3 million of us who are tasteless and ignorant. Thank God there’s your staff, led by Hilburn and Willman, to turn us on to some real relevant and happening stuff, like X and the Bhundu Boys--ya know, real winners!
