North stated that of the “40-50,000” letters he has received since leaving the National Security Council, only “about 50” disagreed with his intentions to aid the contras . I am proud to be one of those 50, and I would like to recommend that anyone who feels as I do should write him. Maybe a few thousand letters that question his heroism will teach him a lesson or two about democracy.
