Filming is under way in Texas on a one-hour TV dramatization of “The Fig Tree” by the late Texas author Katherine Anne Porter (“Ship of Fools”). The show will be broadcast next October on PBS’ “WonderWorks” program. (The Public Broadcasting Service is not affected by current Hollywood labor problems.) “The Fig Tree” stars Teresa Wright, who won an Academy Award as best supporting actress in “Mrs. Miniver” in 1942 and is also remembered for her roles in “The Best Years of Our Lives” and “The Little Foxes.”
