Justice Blackmun Recovers After Surgery for Hernia

WASHINGTON — Supreme Court Justice Harry A. Blackmun, 78, is recuperating at his vacation home in northern Wisconsin from minor hernia surgery performed in Rochester, Minn., after the court term ended June 26, a court spokeswoman said Friday.
