Three avowedly religious singers from very different disciplines--gospel singer Sandi Patti, recording star Deniece Williams and supertenor Placido Domingo--will perform during festivities before a Mass to be celebrated by Pope John Paul II in the Los Angeles Coliseum during his September visit to Southern California. Officials of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles said actor Joseph Campanella would also deliver a narration during the pre-Mass celebration Sept. 15. The archdiocese expects 100,000 people to fill the Coliseum for the Mass.
