Aid to the Nicaraguan Contras and Covert U.S. Activities
Nobody seems to consider the poor guy or girl living in Nicaragua under the faceless oppression of a Marxist dictatorship.
There would still be a revolution against totalitarianism in Nicaragua whether or not the U.S. were involved. And like the leaders of our own revolution who took money and aid from hated monarchies to fight another hated monarchy, the anti-Sandinistas will take money and aid anywhere they can get it. When you’re fighting for the right to exist, it’s no time to be choosy.
