A Delta Air Lines jet was forced to land at Houston Intercontinental Airport after a tire apparently fell off after takeoff from another city airport, officials said. The plane lost one of its four main landing gear tires after takeoff from Hobby Airport, and the pilot decided to land for repairs at the larger runways at Intercontinental, a Delta spokeswoman said. And in New York, a Delta jet flying from Atlanta to LaGuardia Airport experienced problems with its wing flaps and landed instead on the longer runways at Kennedy International Airport.
