FBI Office Dedicated to Slain Miami Agents
Associated Press
MIAMI —
Acting FBI Director John E. Otto, his arm around the shoulders of a slain agent’s mother, Friday dedicated the bureau’s $8.4-million south Florida headquarters to the memory of two agents killed in a 1986 shoot-out.
Bobbie Dove stood with Otto as special agent Edmundo Mireles laid a wreath before a plaque bearing the names of agents Jerry Dove and Benjamin Grogan.
The two agents died and four agents were wounded in a shoot-out with two bank robbers on April 11, 1986. The wounded Mireles killed the suspects.
