The problem with TV and print journalists, said Richard Roberts (televangelist Oral’s son), is that they have no faith--which is why Roberts fils thinks the media have mixed his father’s message. “Many in the media do not know Jesus as their personal savior, and how can the secular press understand the Holy Spirit when they haven’t experienced it themselves?” Roberts said. When asked about his father’s claims that he can raise the dead, Roberts replied: “I guess the real question depends on your definition of death . . . whether a person is ‘clinically dead’ or ‘apparently dead.’ ”
