“Cinderella.” V.I.E.W. $39.95. In this decade of increasingly bizarre “Cinderella” ballets that undercut both the original fairy tale and Prokofiev’s score, Tom Schilling’s imaginative yet staunchly traditional version for the East Berlin Comic Opera Ballet is highly welcome. Broad mime and vigorous character-dancing are central to Schilling’s approach, but Hannelore Bey (Cinderella) and Roland Gawlick (the Prince) are each accomplished in the demanding, Soviet-influenced classical duets and variations, besides being handsome and charming actors. Modest in production values, this 1977 studio performance capitalizes on zest, warmth and resourceful stagecraft. Information: (800) 843-9843 ***--LEWIS SEGAL
