Amy Carter in Hospital; Suffers Ruptured Disc

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Amy Carter was hospitalized Thursday with back pains caused by a ruptured disc, and a spokesman said she would not be able to help her father, former President Jimmy Carter, construct houses for the homeless.
Amy, 19, who recently dropped out of Brown University, had planned to help build houses in a Habitat for Humanity project.
