Israel’s three senior leaders today ended their refusal of interviews with NBC after the U.S. network agreed to air Israeli objections to a film about Israel’s occupation of Arab land.

Government officials say the NBC documentary, “Israel 20 Years After--A Dying Dream,” is one-sided and inaccurate. Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir, Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin last week said they would refuse interviews with the network in protest.

The decision prompted NBC Vice President Ed Planer to visit Israel for talks with the leaders’ media advisers.

At a meeting in Jerusalem today, Planer agreed to let an Israeli official explain his country’s objections to the film on the “Today” program.
