Japanese Crown Prince and Wife to Tour U.S.

TOKYO —
Crown Prince Akihito, first in line to Japan’s “Chrysanthemum Throne,” and his wife, Princess Michiko, will pay an official visit to the United States in early October, government officials said today. Apart from official engagements in Washington, the couple plan to take an extensive tour of the United States over a 20-day period. They were invited by President Reagan.
