An attorney for Auburn quarterback Jeff Burger said the senior athlete is “a good student” who should be exonerated next week when an academic honesty committee reviews plagiarism charges that could sideline him this season.
The committee recommended that Burger, who helped lead Auburn to a 10-2 record last season, be suspended for three quarters for alleged plagiarism in a summer class report. If university officials uphold the recommendation, Burger could lose his final year of eligibility.
