Benefits for Off-Season

Share

The Scottsdale area in Arizona offers a bevy of hotel bargains during the off-season period. With lower rates, hotels may offer continental breakfasts, free tennis, complimentary admission to health clubs and discounts for some activities at fitness centers.

One example is the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale, which has a Summer Splash deal for $90 per couple a night until Sept. 15. You get a room with a balcony or terrace, plus continental breakfast, unlimited tennis and use of the fitness center. Ordinarily you would pay extra for tennis or the fitness center. However, if the amenities or the breakfast are not sufficient inducements, the hotel also has a $65 rate on a single- or double-occupancy basis until Sept. 15.

Contact Hyatt at (800) 228-9000.

The Summer Play in Paradise package at the Paradise Valley Resort in Scottsdale offers the rate of $98 for two people for two nights ($75 for one person), compared to the regular rate of $55 a night or $110 for two nights. But until Sept. 14 you also get the extras of unlimited tennis, discounts at some of the health facilities, continental breakfast for two on one of the two days and one cocktail per person.

At the Registry Resort, also in Scottsdale, a summer program offers a $68-a-night rate on a single- or double-occupancy basis until Sept. 7. With this rate you also get continental breakfast for two, tennis and admission to the health club. Call (800) 247-9810.

The Scottsdale Hilton Resort’s Summer Extravaganza package offers a rate of $58 per room a night on a single- or double-occupancy basis until Sept. 15.
