Grumman’s earnings slumped 34% to $11.6 million in the second quarter. The Bethpage, N.Y., maker of the F-14 Navy fighter and other military aircraft said the drop reflected a one-time $3.4-million gain in the year-ago quarter from the sale of assets. Sales were off by 8%.
