Hart was the favorite of 25%, compared to 13% for the Rev. Jesse Jackson, 6% for Illinois Sen. Paul Simon, 5% each for Tennessee Sen. Albert Gore Jr., Missouri Rep. Richard A. Gephardt and Massachusetts Gov. Michael S. Dukakis. Delaware Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. was the favorite of 3% and former Arizona Gov. Bruce Babbitt trailed with 1%.
