Britain Toasts Its Best Beer . . .
From Reuters
LONDON —
A tiny London brewery employing four people defeated the country’s giants Tuesday to win the title “Best Beer in Britain” at a festival in the coastal resort of Brighton.
The Pitfield Brewery in east London won the award at the Great British Beer Festival for its Dark Star brew, a cross between stout and bitter.
The brewery makes 1,620 gallons a week of the beer, which sells at about $1.60 a pint in London.
