4 Soviet Antarctic Explorers Disappear

MOSCOW —
Four Soviet Antarctic explorers traveling in a Land Rover disappeared during a sudden blizzard recently and are now presumed dead, the Communist Party daily newspaper Pravda said today.
The newspaper said the four were stationed at the Molodyozhnaya Antarctic research station--the main Soviet meteorological base on the continent. The average winter temperature there is about 70 degrees below zero.
