Woman Leaps to Death in New Jersey Hotel Fire

NEWARK, N.J. —
A woman jumped to her death Thursday from a sixth-floor window as heavy smoke and heat from a basement fire filled the downtown Carlton Hotel, authorities said. An arson unit was investigating the cause of the blaze, which injured more than 20 other people.
