Wilkins Gets 34 Points in Exhibition Game

Atlanta Hawks forward Dominique Wilkins scored 34 points to lead the American-Soviet team to a 145-114 victory over a Southern California squad Thursday night before an estimated crowd of 1,000 at Albert Gersten Pavilion on the Loyola Marymount campus.

Eight members of the American-Soviet team scored in double figures, including Cliff Levingston with 21 points, Soviet National Team players Aleksandr Volkov with 20 and Sharunas Marchulenis with 18.

The combined team of six Soviet players and members of the National Basketball Assn.’s Hawks have won three straight games on a four-game tour of the U.S.
