Clearing the Air Again

As a frequent flyer having to endure the growing problems of the airlines--overcrowded airports, late or canceled flights, overbooking--non-smoking flights are the last straw. (“A Last Gasp for Smokers on Airlines?” Aug. 2.)
As a smoker for many years I resent the intrusion by government agencies and now the airline industry to dictate when and where I can smoke. An attendant who has an allergy or asthma should be grounded to work the check-in counter.
