A mosque belonging to a dissident Sunni Muslim faction was damaged in an apparent arson attack, according to police in the Hague, Netherlands. No injuries were reported, but at least $20,000 in damage was caused by the fire at the Mobarak mosque. Police said a “combustible liquid” was found inside the building, but there was no claim of responsibility for the attack. The mosque belongs to a moderate Sunni Muslim group that has been criticized by orthodox Sunnis in Pakistan, where the movement has been banned.
