An increasing number of nations are placing restrictions on foreigners in attempts to stem the AIDS epidemic. These are some of the countries that have announced such plans. Country Bulgaria People Screened and Restrictions Foreigners seeking visas to visit for one month or more. AIDS virus blood test on arrival. Deported if positive. Country China People Screened and Restrictions Foreign students and foreigners seeking residence permits for one year or more must take AIDS virus blood test on arrival. Deported if positive. Chinese nationals returning from work overseas also tested. Country Costa Rica People Screened and Restrictions Compulsory testing for foreigners seeking residence visas.
