An Israeli judge told an American documents expert testifying for alleged Nazi war criminal John Demjanjuk that her findings could not be trusted. Judge Dov Levin reprimanded witness Edna Robertson for questioning the authenticity of signatures of the commander at the Trawniki camp, where Demjanjuk is alleged to have trained for guard duty at the Treblinka death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland. “We know the signatures . . . are authentic, yet you are questioning the authenticity. From this, it is impossible to trust you,” Levin said. The commander’s signatures have been compared to the one on a Trawniki card in Demjanjuk’s name. Demjanjuk says the Trawniki card is a forgery.
