A former Dodger ticket office supervisor pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of petty theft in a payroll padding scheme and was sentenced by Los Angeles Municipal Judge Glenette Blackwell to six months summary probation. Ralph Lopez, 45, entered his plea before a scheduled preliminary hearing on one felony count each of grant theft and conspiracy. The judge dismissed the conspiracy charge. Lopez was ordered to pay $4,000 restitution. Blackwell said the defendant already had made restitution to an insurance company. The scheme allegedly involved overpaying several security guards and paying two of their girlfriends, who were not employed by the Dodgers.
