Ashton-Tate’s earnings increased 55.4% to $10.1 million in the second quarter. Revenue was up 29.8% to $63.6 million from the year-ago period. The Torrance-based computer software maker credited the gains to strong sales of dBASE III Plus, the Master Graphics Series and MultiMate Advantage II, which it began shipping in April.
