Egypt Reportedly Seizes Arms at Police Checkpoint

CAIRO —
Egyptian police seized a pickup truck carrying arms and explosives Thursday at a police checkpoint set up after an attempt on the life of a former Cabinet minister, police sources said.
The truck driver and another person escaped. It was not immediately clear if they were linked with three suspects sought by police after gunmen shot at former Interior Minister Nabawi Ismail last Thursday.
