Four Arab League members called for an urgent Arab summit on the Persian Gulf War between Iran and Iraq. The call came from Kuwait, Libya, Jordan and the Palestine Liberation Organization at a special session of the league’s Council of Ministers in Tunis, Tunisia. He charged Iran with “terrorist and destructive” behavior and called for “unanimous and practical decisions to meet the challenges and obstinacy of the Tehran regime.”
