A United Methodist Church jury in Dover, N.H., found an acknowledged lesbian pastor guilty of violating a church ban on homosexual clergy and voted to suspend her from duty until a meeting of church ministers next June. The jurors could have removed the Rev. Rose Mary Denman, 40, from the ministry or expelled her from the church. Denman had expected the verdict and planned to transfer to the Unitarian Universalist Assn.
