Victoria Principal’s multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Weight Watchers Inc., alleging that her likeness was used in a promotion without permission, will receive a non-jury hearing Oct. 17 in federal court, U.S. District Judge William M. Byrne ruled Tuesday in Los Angeles. Principal, who played Pamela Ewing in the nighttime soap “Dallas,” is seeking at least $11 million. Principal’s suit alleges that the Weight Watchers brochure “Tidbits” misused her name, picture and a quotation attributed to her about keeping fit. A Weight Watchers representative said that the organization would have no immediate comment.
