Calay Systems Names New President-CEO

Peter K. Maeussnest has been named president and chief executive officer of Calay Systems Inc. of Irvine, replacing Peter J. Shaw, who resigned after arranging the July acquisition of Calay by AGIV, a West German holding company.

Maeussnest has also been named a managing director of Calay Systems GmbH, a sister company in Germany, and has been assigned to run Calay’s Far East operations. Calay produces automated design systems for printed circuit boards.

Before joining Calay, Maeussnest headed a factory automation consulting firm. He was previously president and chief operating officer for Sierracin Corp. in Sylmar.
