Cash and tickets were taken from a subway token booth in Queens after the clerk suffered a heart attack and died on the job Sunday, New York Transit Authority police said.

Transit officers responding to a report that the clerk had collapsed found that the booth had been burglarized and $1,050 in cash and $1,000 worth of tickets for handicapped riders were missing. Police said they believed that the burglary occurred after the clerk fell ill, and did not trigger the heart attack.
