Offers of help came from as far away as Australia and the Netherlands for the family of three boys infected with the AIDS virus who lost their Arcadia, Fla., home in a fire. Clifford and Louise Ray remained in seclusion with sons Richard, 10, Robert, 9, and Randy, 8, while authorities continued to investigate the cause of the fire. At St. Paul’s Catholic Church, donations poured in, said church secretary Jennifer Smith. “We have gotten over 300 telephone calls from all over the country,” she said. The boys, whose court-ordered return to school had prompted death threats and protests, are believed to have gotten the AIDS virus from transfusions for their hemophilia.
