TeleCheck Services Inc., Denver, has purchased four TeleCheck franchise territories from one of its franchisees, VMC Inc. of San Diego. The franchises are in Denver, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose. TeleCheck did not disclose a price. TeleCheck Services, a subsidiary of McDonnell Douglas, is the largest provider of check acceptance services in the world. It serves more than 95,000 retailers in the United States and cleared about $6 billion in checks in 1986.
