Richard A. Cortese was named president and chief executive of Hugin Sweda Inc., Pine Brook, N.J. Previously he was president and CEO of Alpha Micro Systems, Laguna Beach. He replaces Robert Chepak, who will remain on the board. Hugin Sweda sells cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
