The Canadian Auto Workers union targeted Chrysler Corp.’s Canadian subsidiary for a strike if contracts talks fail, raising the possibility of widespread disruption in the North American auto industry. Union President Robert White said Chrysler Canada Ltd.’s 10,000 employees would strike at four plants in Ontario province if a contract is not reached by midnight Sept. 14 when a two-year agreement expires.
